Our 8 frame beginners kit includes:  1 Deep w/frames, 2 medium w/frames, bottom board(solid), inner cover, telescopic cover, partially ventilated jacket w/veil, goat skin gloves, bee brush, and hive tool.  We do not include books since we reccommend that you take a beginning beekeepers class.   
You dont need 5 boxes to start, you will only need two super and one brood box.
